A family enterprise makes history

The firm’s founder, A. Lamprecht senior, backed the “right horse” in 1945. He discerned the economic recovery after the Second World War and the related, rising importance of transportation and logistics services. During 78 years the enterprise has been gradually built up and expanded – it is now being successfully managed in the fourth generation by Jenny Vargas-Lamprecht. 78 years have so much to tell, here are the most important milestones of Lamprecht Transport Ltd.:

1947 Opening of the branch office in Zurich

1967 Takeover of Nord-Süd Spedition AG

With selected basic training in the fields of security and safety (freight security as per FOCA guidelines, hazardous materials transportation, combating terrorism, securing loads, etc.) our employees are well trained and regularly refreshed.

A milestone in regard to security has been certification as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO). This certification demands extensive precautionary measures in terms of reliability, solvency and compliance with high safety standards as well as strict compliance with relevant legislation.

Accordingly, our freight forwarding professionals make every effort to process each and every transport as environmentally-friendly as possible. These measures include the highest possible exploitation of means of transport, the avoidance of empty runs and the optimisation of transport routes through to the segregated disposal of packaging materials.

 

We utilise, whenever possible, ecological means of transport such as combined transport (rail/road) and Rhine barges as well as electric and biogas-powered vehicles and resource-friendly paper-free solutions (e-freight and customs clearance).
