Brazil – Air Cargo Pre-manifest System
According to the Brazilian customs authorities, the new air cargo pre-manifest system will come into force on 30 June 2023. Our agent in Brazil must receive all air cargo documents in advance for verification. Air cargo shipments should only be posted once formal approval has been received from Brazil. Brazilian Customs recommends that the information in the HAWBs should be completed as fully as possible including description of goods and HS codes.
If the deadline for submitting the data to Customs is not met, Customs will automatically levy a fine of USD 1000.
