The year that is coming to an end has seen an unprecedented disruption in the global supply chain due to several reasons, with COVID 19 playing a very important role. Unfortunately, we are experiencing a new wave of corona far and wide, and China is also affected. As a result, the availability of port staff is again limited during the holiday season. We have received an official notice from Hong Kong barge service providers that coverage of South China barge ports will not be possible from 25 December 2021 to 10 February 2022.
Please therefore expect longer lay times or delays at the ports listed below, as there are limited alternative options for exports and imports. Please also note that the acceptance of special cargo imports (Reefer, Dangerous Goods, Out Of Gauge++) will be suspended at these locations: Fangcheng, Qinzhou, Beihai, Zhanjiang, Yangpu, Haikou, Shantou, Lianhuashan, Zhongshan, Sanshan.
Furthermore, alternative transhipment services via Chiwan/Shekou or Nansha are available for dry and refrigerated cargo.
Lamprecht Transport Ltd. is monitoring the situation very closely and is endeavouring to find alternative solutions within the scope of its possibilities. Utilising all our transport capacities, we are looking for solutions for both inland and sea transport to mitigate the disruption caused by the port cancellations.
